She/Her/Hers
I am an integrative evolutionary biologist interested in the novel traits that allow extremophile vertebrates to live and thrive in harsh environments. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Alabama.
I received my Doctorate of Philosophy from Louisiana State University working in the LSU Museum of Natural Sciences. My Bachelor's of Science in Marine Biology and my Master's of Science are from Auburn University and the AU Museum of Natural History. I was awarded the National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Biology to work at the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History at the University of Oklahoma. My research is driven by a curiosity and love of the natural world as well as an underlying passion for conservation of at-risk organisms. |
